Creating a project on Asana

Projects allow you to organize all tasks related to a specific initiative, goal, or big piece of work into a list or board. This makes it easy to see what needs to be done when it needs to be done, and who is responsible for it. You can also use projects to track progress and identify areas where things are falling behind.

How to create a project on Asana:

  • Click on the + button
  • Select project
  • Click on + in the Blank project window to start from scratch.
Setup your new project:
  • Enter a project name and description
  • Select the team you wish to add the task to
  • Set your project privacy settings
  • Select a list, board, timeline, and calendar layout
  • Create a project once the details have been added
Find and access your project:
  • Search for the project’s name
  • From the list of projects in teams
  • From the list of projects in the sidebar
